The music of Mashti is a special combination between the ancient and traditional, connecting with the modern and technical. Fusion is the word to describe his music, but actually a new word needs to be found, because he has taken it to a whole new level. It has incredible energy. Mashti’s music is not only a great listening experience, but also a magical geographical journey through time and space.
Over the last decades he has been working with electronic music and combining the electronic style with the acoustic and old traditional music from different parts of the world such as India, Iran, and Turkey.
In 2008, Mashti’s released an album with the Turkish artist Fuat Talay. The album ”Sufisticated” was nominated for the Danish World Music Awards. The album was only released on a limited edition CD and a digital release will made available during 2014. Throughout the period between 2007-2011, Mashti composed and produced 3 albums with the Iranian artist, Bahramji.
Currently Mashti is creating music with his friend, Jean von Baden. With Jean, and as a solo artist, Mashti has had several tracks appearing on Buddha Bar, Ministry of Sound and other compilations worldwide.
